Pony Fun Day – October ‘21
We hosted a Pony Fun Day last week and kids of all ages and riding abilities spent the day in the fresh air with a real passion for the Fun Day ahead; making new friends, bonding with the horses and ponies, taking part in games, competitions and activities.
The yard was bustling and busy with children running about grooming their ponies and making sure they looked their best. Tails were plaited and manes were braided, the horses and ponies have never looked so smart and shiny!
The kids were bursting with pride as they showed their horses around the arena for the judging of prettiest mare and gelding.
Competition rounds in mini show jumping and dressage were completed with enthusiasm and certificates and rosettes given out to all.
There was so much pride in what the kids were doing and it was the sweetest thing to see their faces when they were awarded a rosette.
The older riders came dressed for dressage in their smart riding coats and breeches and they looked like future equestrian athletes with so much promise.
A fantastic day was had by all, the ponies have never been loved or hugged as much and the kids went home tired out, talking about what a fabulous day they’d had with us and their new friends.
