The Gallops
Arranged around a courtyard garden the Gallops is a collection of 10 newly built and period cottages in a Victorian dairy barn conversion. Built in 2017 our 7 new houses have been awarded Visit England’s 4 star gold award (we have bunk beds in some units) and the Green Energy Gold Star award for their eco-friendly features.
The new cottages are fully accessible with low level thresholds and downstairs bathrooms and WC’s in every unit. Three of the houses have downstairs wet rooms and bedrooms so are ideal for wheelchair users or guests with limited mobility. Our Pegasus unit is M3i rated which means it is suitable for an independent traveller and in addition to the wet room and double bedroom on the ground floor the kitchen has both adjustable height worktops with sink and hob and low level appliances and adapted cupboards. We recommend local firm Island Mobility www.islandmobility.co.uk if guests require more specific items eg adjustable beds.
All units have TV with Freeview and wireless internet.
Making up our quadrangle we have our dog-friendly units with period oak beams and their own privately-enclosed gardens.
We are passionate about being green and in addition to 77 solar panels that support our electricity supply we have a 10,000 litre rain water harvesting tank for toilet flushing and a waste treatment system that recycles waste water back into the local stream. The Orchard
The Orchard is a bungalow that was fully renovated in 2017 and provides self-catering accommodation in four large double bedrooms and four bathrooms.
The expansive open plan living room / kitchen / diner comfortably seats ten guests, in addition to a large breakfast bar overlooking the kitchen which has all of the modern day luxuries you would hope for, including American fridge-freezer, 8kg washing machine, touch sensitive hob and double oven.
Bedrooms include two king-size and two with a bunk bed / single bed combination, sleeping three guests in each. The 49” wall mounted smart TV has Freeview, Netflix and Amazon built in and there is free wi-fi.
Outside a wrap around garden including a purpose built seating area surrounds a large fire pit around which guests can relax and enjoy the beautiful sunsets or cook al-fresco on the large brick built barbecue during Spring and Summer months.
There is ample parking and also an electric car charging point exclusive to the property.
Our 6 safari tents are located within our equestrian centre in 40 acres of countryside.
Each of these three bedroom safari tents is furnished with its own deck, dining table and sitting area, lighting and electrical sockets, sofa area, a kitchen area with sink, hot plates, utensils and a fridge, three separate bedrooms, a king-sized bed and full size wooden bunk beds that sleep up to 4 per bedroom with storage space beneath, the added luxury of two bathrooms with a shower and toilet in each. All four of these safari tents have lockable UPVC patio doors with key safe.
